Will Will & Kate’s little Prince get a little snip?

In Judaism when a baby boy is born, a family hosts a bris, an outward showing that circumcision is a physical representation of the eternal covenant between G-d and the Jewish people.

It is a common practice among many religions and cultures today, even in the United Kingdom where there is a hot debate about the newest member of the royal family, Prince George Alexander Louis.

Why? Prince William, his father, was not circumcised because Princess Diana rejected the idea, the jewishpress.com reported.

Prince Charles, Prince William’s father, was circumcised at Buckingham Palace in 1948 (wonder what Princess Diana thought about that!).

Rabbi Jacob Snowman, the official mohel of London’s Jewish community performed, the prince’s bris.

The tradition of the United Kingdom’s princes getting snipped dates back 250 years to King George I. Queen Victoria believed her children were sons of King David.

British pediatrician and author Dr. Harvey Karp told the Huffington Post about the queen’s beliefs saying she “basically got it into her head that her children were the sons of David.”

So tell us what you think? Will Kate and Will’s little prince get a little snip?
