MTV’s legendary “Moonman” award has been reinvented by artist KAWS

The 2013 MTV Video Music Awards will air Sunday, Aug. 25 at 9 p.m. on MTV live from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.

Cast your vote and tune in to see who will receive a newly KAWS-ified Moonman. MTV’s iconic “Moonman” award has been re-imagined by the former graffiti artist and Disney animator KAWS, complete with a gunmetal finish, a skull-and-crossbones head, big ears and cartoonish gloves.
