About Us

Jstyle is a fashion and lifestyle magazine for Northeast Ohio’s Jewish community, focusing on clothing, beauty, food, dining and décor trends while also documenting the many ways in which area Jews are making a difference in Greater Cleveland.

Jstyle is a quarterly publication. A fifth issue of Jstyle, Jstyle Weddings, is published annually and dedicated entirely to wedding planning and trends.

Jstyle is delivered to 15,500 homes throughout Northeast Ohio, and is published by the Cleveland Jewish Publication Company, 23880 Commerce Park, Beachwood, OH 44122.

Jstyle Models

Interested in being a volunteer model for Jstyle? Then we’re interested in hearing from you! Email your name, age, city of residence, synagogue (if applicable) and daytime telephone number to editor@jstylemagazine.com. Please use “Jstyle model” in the subject line and include at least one photograph of yourself.

Volunteer models must be available for pre-shoot wardrobe fittings and for at least half a day (usually on a weekday) for the photo shoot itself. Exact scheduling and time commitments vary per shoot. If an applicant is not selected for the upcoming issue, his or her information will be kept on file and considered for future issues.

  • First place in the “trade publications” category was awarded to writer Kristen Mott for “3G Coverage,” which appeared in the fall 2016 issue.

2016 American Jewish Press Association’s Simon Rockower Awards for Excellence in Jewish Journalism

  • First place in “The David Frank Award for Excellence in Personality Profiles” category for magazines, special sections and supplements was awarded to writer Carlo Wolff for “Curious Gastronomy,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue.
  • Second place in the “public service/investigative” category for general circulation magazines was awarded to editor Michael C. Butz for “Survivor Story,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue.

2016 Ohio Society of Professional Journalists 

  • Second place in the “best personality profile” category for trade publications was awarded to Carlo Wolff for “Curious Gastronomy,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue.

2015 Ohio Associated Press Managing Editors

  • Second place in the “best graphic artist” category was awarded to designer Rob Ghosh for a body of work that included “Rock Solid,” which appeared in Jstyle Weddings 2015; “Cream of the Crop,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue; “Sweet successes,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue; “Curious gastronomy,” which appeared in the fall 2015 issue; and “By (urban) design,” which appeared in the winter 2015 issue.
