Justice Ginsburg Might Outlast President Obama

Ruth Bader Ginsburg, an 80-year-old Supreme Court judge, is still facing pressure to retire. But as she made perfectly clear back in August she will retire when she is ready. When President Obama’s term ends in 2016, Ginsburg will more than likely still remain.

The justice is vacationing in Santa Fe, N.M. as she has done for decades. The Washington Post spent some time finding out what her peers think of her, including one friend who still does the splits at 84 years old.

Kaye Ballard, the singer who toured with the Spike Jones Orchestra “snaps photos of Ginsburg on her iPhone and insists on getting her menu autographed,” according to the Washington Post.

Winnie Klotz, Ginsburg’s friend and a former dancer, will apparently grab her ankle and lift it straight in the air, asking “Do I have your attention?” At 84 years old she is still doing the splits. Ginsburg tells the Washington Post, “She [Klotz] does that all the time.”
