Iginsburgn a report by The New York Times, Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, 80, has vowed to remain on the Supreme Court as long as her health and intellect remain strong.

Amid talk of the Justice’s successor being named by either President Obama or a possible conservative-leaning president in 2016, and the potential shift in the Supreme Court’s ideology based on that selection, Ginsburg said:

There will be a president after this one, and I’m hopeful that that president will be a fine president.”

There is apparently no question in Ginsburg’s mind as to who will be making the decision about when she leaves… she will be her own council.

The New Yorker had an excellent slideshow of Ginsburg’s life through the years… one of the most striking photos was from her time serving as camp rabbi for Che-Na-Wah, in Minerva, New York.

An amazing life personally, professionally, and spiritually has certainly qualified Ruth Bader Ginsburg to be the deciding vote as to when her service on the Supreme Court should come to an end.
