Hummus…The Official Dip of the NFL

 

The National Football League has chosen Sabra Dipping Co., the largest hummus manufacturer in the world, as their official sponsor of dips.

The goal is to make hummus the staple dip in American households.

“Dip Life to the Fullest” is the slogan of the recently approved national hummus television commercial that will take over airways this coming NFL season.

“Most of the people in the U.S. have never tasted hummus,” said Ronen Zohar, Israeli CEO of PepsiCo’s Sabra Dipping Co.

Hummus, traditionally a Middle Eastern food, is a mixture of cooked chick peas blended with tahini and dipped in pita bread.

The television commercial dips everything from chips, celery, carrots, and even a chicken nugget into Sabra’s hummus to entice viewers.

So this fall instead of putting out ice cold beer and chips, you’ll be putting out ice cold beer and hummus, and maybe dunking a chicken nugget in it too!
