It’s official! summer ended on Saturday Sept. 21…
…Fall began on Sunday Sept. 22
It’s time again to trade in your Toms for UGGs and switch from shandies to pumpkin ales. In some places fall may be the start of “down time” but in Cleveland this is most certainly not the case … this weekend was packed with entertainment!
Cleveland ended summer and began fall with a bang…
Friday kicked off the 9th annual IngenuityFest that was held on Docks 32 and 30 on the lakefront north of FirstEnergy (Browns) Stadium and the Great Lakes Science Center. IngenuityFest highlighted the most innovative arts, culture and technology Cleveland has to offer and brought in top performers, artists and creative minds relevant to the area. Performances by Case Western Reserve University’s TESLA Orchestra, globally recognized indie band mr. Gnome, and Thriftwork filled sound waves from the Theater District all the way to the lighthouse for the entire festival.
Also taking part in IngenuityFest was Cleveland SkyLift, artist George Kozman, and a slew of live performances accompanied by independent merchants and local innovators. The Cleveland Institute of Art made a presence by displaying a car made by students that drew in a big crowd.
In other news, Cleveland sports teams had a superb weekend bringing home wins. The Browns beat the Minnesota Vikings 31-27 and the Indians overcame the Houston Astros 9-2 Sunday.
Clevelanders also flocked to Tremont for the 13th Annual Tremont Arts and Cultural Festival held Sunday, Sept. 22 in the historic Lincoln Park. Known for its kid-friendly atmosphere this festival catered to multiracial and multicultural fine arts, sculpture, jewelry, food, musicians and performers.
