Tis the Season … Drinkin’ Season!

ChristmasAleChristmas — what non-Jews think of as the equivalent to Hanukkah — is a time of year in Cleveland that’s made extra special because of one standing “drinkdition”… Christmas Ale.

Great Lakes Brewing Co. began concocting the ale in 1992 and since then it has become one of the most popular holiday drinks of the season. On Oct. 2 GLBC announced the ‘First Pour’ of Christmas Ale, which will be happening at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 24 in their brewpub located in Ohio City.

Christmas Ale won’t be available for purchase until Oct. 31. To participate in GLBC’s annual ‘First Pour’ competition visit their website.

Hmm … wonder if there will ever be 8 Crazy Nights Of Ale, Latke Ale, Dreidel Ale, or Nun, Gimel, Hey, Shin, Ale?
