Each week the Cleveland Jewish News highlights a member of the Jewish community in Northeast Ohio that is making an impact on the world. That individual is profiled in a weekly feature called “Jews of Interest.”
This week’s Jew of Interest is 21-year-old David Markovich, a senior at John Carroll University in University Heights.
During his time in college Markovich decided to found a Hillel chapter on campus, an interesting choice considering JCU is a Jesuit Catholic university. Through his leadership and determination he has recruited about 35 students to join Hillel and he hosts multiple events throughout the year that draw more than 200 people.
