This past weekend, Jaleesa Martin was ordered to rename her baby boy. A Tennessee judge ordered Martin to rename her 7-month-old son, Messiah, because it is an “earned” title in the Judeo-Christian tradition.
“It could put him at odds with a lot of people and at this point he has had no choice in what his name is,” said Judge Ballew, according to WBIR in Newport, Tenn.
