“One of the Finest Homes in the East Village”

David Schwimmer | photo: WikipediaFriends’ David Schwimmer may no longer be considered the good Jewish boy in New York City’s East Village where he is a resident.

In 2010, the 46-year-old purchased a historic five-story townhouse for $4.1 million. The property, built in 1852 and described by local residents as “one of the finest homes in East Village”, was subsequently demolished for Schwimmer to build his new 9,000-square-foot home.

His neighbors are apparently not too fond of the conversion.. EV GRIEVE, an East Village Blog, posted this picture.

It was taken by “Marc” who lives across the street, says EV GRIEVE. The arrow? It points to Schwimmer’s new digs.
