RED, the Steakhouse, a modern steakhouse and restaurant, opened its Pinecrest location Nov. 29 for dinner.

Owned and operated by Gregg S. Levy and his team at YLT RED LLC, the new location features more than 8,100 square feet on the first floor, bar seating for 24, private event spaces, street-level patio seating and a rooftop deck overlooking Pinecrest’s Central Park. The 2,300-square-foot rooftop deck is scheduled to open in late spring 2020.

“From craft cocktails in the lounge to decadent dinners and extraordinary private events, even the most discerning palates are sure to be pleased,” said Levy, managing partner of YLT RED LLC.

Customers will also have access to complimentary valet, he added.

The restaurant is led by Stephanie Pack, director of operations, and executive chef Kyle Anderson.

Executive chef Kyle Anderson cuts into a C.A.B. prime ribeye steak, which he said is his favorite cut.

Anderson originally was chef at Moxie, the Restaurant and Red, the Steakhouse Beachwood, which are now both defunct, and later left to open Marble Room Steakhouse. Returning to help open RED Pinecrest was “really cool” and “like coming back to family,” Anderson said.

With a steak- and seafood-driven menu, Anderson added there will also be chicken and pasta dishes and a variety of desserts, including their popular doughnuts. Serving C.A.B. and C.A.B. prime steaks, Anderson noted the experience is very customer driven.

“Guest feedback and interaction is huge,” he explained. “It’s not perfect until the customer says it is.”

Additionally, RED Pinecrest is already booking for private parties in its three private rooms and VIP space. The VIP space opens up onto its street level patio, which customers can also rent if they need extra space. Customers can also make reservations on opentable.com.

RED Pinecrest is open for dinner from 5 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday; 5 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday; and from 5 to 9 p.m. Sundays. Lunch service begins Dec. 9, the same day all of its private spaces open. Hours will be 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Between lunch and dinner seatings, guests can enjoy cocktails, beet and wine, and a happy hour menu.

The dining room offers ample space for dining staff to navigate, as well as high ceilings and windows to let in natural light.

RED, the Steakhouse Pinecrest is at 200 Park Ave. in Orange. There is another location in downtown Cleveland.

Pinecrest is a mixed-use development by Fairmount Properties.
