Haim, the Jewish girl band trio from Southern California, is featured on iTunes this week with their song “The Wire,” offered as the site’s free single of the week.
Sisters Danielle, Este and Alan, ranging in ages from 26 to 21, have been in the music scene since 2005 with their drummer, Dash Hutton. Haim’s band name–which came from their last name– is pronounced to rhyme with time or the latter part of l’chaim, the Hebrew toast meaning “to life.”
The band has been tapped as the ones to dominate the music industry in 2013. Their sound has frequently been compared to Fleetwood Mac.
