Brothers Pete and Mike Mitchell celebrated 20 years of their ice cream brand, Mitchell’s Ice Cream, in October. The pair opened their first scoop shop on Oct. 5, 1999, in Westlake, alongside their father, Richard.
Pete Mitchell told the Cleveland Jewish News the experience has been “meaningful and fun,” looking back on those decades with fondness.
Adding that he couldn’t have done it without the help of his brother Mike, working alongside each other has made the experience “even sweeter.”
“Our relationship as brothers and siblings is very important,” Pete says. “Mike and I share common values but have different strengths to complement each other. I wouldn’t have wanted to do this on my own.”
