Jerusalem the Movie will premier this September and will showcase parts of the Ancient City never seen before. Jake Eberts, the executive producer has developed films such as Gandhi, Dances with Wolves, and Driving Miss Daisy, and now JERUSALEM. His team includes, Taran Davies, who created the IMAX film Journey to Mecca, George Duffield, The End of the Line, and former theology student, Daniel Ferguson, who worked as a writer and Line Producer on Wired to Win: Surviving the Tour de France.
In order to capture the real JERUSALEM, Eberts, Duffield, Davies, and Ferguson have teamed up advisors and experts from all of the major monotheistic religions as well as working closely with archeologists and historians.
Nearly everyone approaches this crossroads of the world in a different way and with different expectations. The film seeks to do this in an inclusive way, across political, academic and religious lines. Through the unrivaled beauty and visceral nature of the IMAX® format, as well as special access to the Holy sites and little-known parts of the city, audiences will be inspired to reconsider their assumptions about this vital part of the world. Our goal is to enable everyone, whether knowledgeable or simply curious about Jerusalem to discover something new and exciting about the city.
The film will take viewers on a journey to JERUSALEM like never before because of advances in technology and high-resolution cinematography of the large-format IMAX process.
We are thrilled to provide audiences with the story of the Old City on this grand scale,” says writer-director Daniel Ferguson. “The film offers unique perspectives, aerials and access to this part of the world in a way you could never get in any other format.
