How did you meet?
We first met in the Beachwood High School Marching Band in the Fall of 2005. We reconnected online during the (COVID-19) pandemic.

Do you have any interesting stories to share about getting to know one another?
We were long distance for the first two years of our relationship and spent lots of time finding unique spots between Cleveland (Devorah) and Binghamton, NY, (Brian).
How long did you know each other before you got married?
We’ve known each other technically for 19 years, but we were only together for three of those years.
When did you know you wanted to marry your partner?
Brian: When I started joining in on family moments such
as Shabbat dinners, Thanksgiving and Seder. When you marry someone you join their family and I am lucky enough to enjoy spending time not just with Devorah but with her whole family.

Devorah: It was lots of little moments that really helped me know it was meant to be. The way Brian parented his dog, the way he always goes above and beyond for his people, the way he talks about his family. One small moment that sticks out is he learned early on that I love donuts so one of the first times he came home to Cleveland to see me he brought donuts from his favorite place in Binghamton for us to share. So many little things really painted a beautiful picture of the partner he is and continues to be.
What was the best part of wedding planning?
The food tasting.

What was the most fun or interesting Jewish aspect of your wedding or partnership?
Brian: David, Devorah’s father gave us the Priestly Blessing under the chuppah, just as he does every Friday night at Shabbat Dinner.
What was unique about your wedding?
We had donuts instead of a traditional wedding cake.
