AI-DO: How Artificial Intelligence Is Changing the Wedding Experience

By Brayden Salomon

Weddings have always been about telling a unique love story — but now, technology is helping narrate it in bold new ways. From personalized caricatures that reflect your guests’ personalities to AI-powered photo booths that transform them into comic book heroes or vintage film stars, artificial intelligence is quickly becoming the most unforgettable guest at the celebration.

AI’s been weaving itself into weddings for a while now, taking over some of the nitty-gritty planning stuff: seating charts, guest lists, and even curating playlists that keep the dance floor alive. And when it comes to videography? AI speeds up organizing footage and editing, making those highlights shine brighter — faster.

“We’re seeing couples lean into AI for personalization and entertainment,” says Jeff Kutz, partner and VP of social sales at Rock the House. “It’s not just about convenience — it’s about creating moments that feel fresh and unique.” Like interactive photo booths with AI-generated filters or digital backdrops that tell your story in real time. Some couples are using AI tools for speech writing and assisting with some selections for formalities like their first dance. Wedding pros are jumping on the AI bandwagon, too. They’re using it to streamline budgeting, scheduling, and
even designing mood boards and floor plans. Some are even suggesting AI help craft custom vows and speeches. Some wedding planners have been using AI for a couple years, while others are just introducing it.

“At this time, with a few small and newer exceptions, we are still offering the same old-fashioned services,” Melissa Miller, owner of Pink Gorilla Balloons, told the Cleveland Jewish News. That said, “Our software we use for designing the floor plan layouts for events has a great AI feature we are able to use to show our clients what the event space will look like when it is set up.” It’s a sneak peek into the future that helps calm pre-wedding jitters.

Looking ahead, AI could become the ultimate backstage wedding planner — one that knows your quirks, your style, and what really matters to you. It’s like having a hyper- organized, endlessly patient friend who never sleeps, juggling budgets and vendor calls while still understanding that your big day is about moments, not just logistics.

“We believe AI will push weddings toward real-time personalization,” Kutz says. Picture custom vows turned into live poetry or ambient music that shifts with the mood on the dance floor. Wedding consultants are seeing AI-generated video montages, voice assistants, and virtual planners helping couples stay on track with less stress.

Still, Kutz emphasizes, “At Rock the House, human connection comes first.” AI is just a tool that helps bring more emotion, fun, and creativity to every celebration.

As AI becomes smarter and more intuitive, it’s weaving innovation into tradition — making weddings more seamless, inclusive, and unforgettable.
